The way this dangerous game is played is usually with a six shot revolver giving the players a 1 in 6 chance of staying alive equaling out to about 84%. How the game works is that the player will place one bullet into the chamber of the revolver and spin the cylinder not knowing the location of the round. Then the player will take turns placing the muzzles against their heads and pulls the trigger. Some people say that as soon as the cylinder is spun, the weight of the bullet is likely stay on the bottom of the cylinder increasing the blank shots.

It is said to be that in the 19th century prison guards bet on the Russian prisoners while forcing them to play the game. Another story that is told is that the desperate and suicidal army officers played the game to impress one another.
